Abram Luque hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Moises Fernandino made a precise shot to the right of Per-Oskar Wiberg. Wrexham A.F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If David Grep had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Grep in the 22nd minute of play. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvin Rolandsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, David Grep had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Grep was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After having played for 36 minutes, Elof Mellbad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wrexham A.F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Elof Mellbad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If David Grep had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elof Mellbad's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Ricardo Zorita skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 44th minute Moises Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Oskar Wiberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elof Mellbad made a kick off. When Wrexham A.F.C.'s Elof Mellbad in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Wrexham A.F.C.'s Per-Oskar Wiberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Wrexham A.F.C. from getting a goal against them. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elof Mellbad, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Nordlander in the 70th minute of the match. Mateo Leguizamo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After 75 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Carvallo. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Wrexham A.F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Nordlander didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Moises Fernandino came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the El Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Fernandino couldn't finish the play. Abram Luque scored 1-3 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Per-Oskar Wiberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Chants of El Salvador echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Wrexham A.F.C. had held the ball for most of the match.
