Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Abel Gana kicked off to start the match. A hard shot by Inocencio Mosca from long distance, 6 minutes into the match, got Ricardo Zorita's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Jorge Vicente Basay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Fernandino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Club Deportes Santa Cruz booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Abel Gana ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 19th minute Moises Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Vicente Basay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Abram Luque came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the El Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abram Luque couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abel Gana in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Zorita saved El Salvador from getting behind. Jorge Vicente Basay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Luque in the 28th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Moises Fernandino made a precise shot to the right of Jorge Vicente Basay. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Abram Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The Club Deportes Santa Cruz players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. El Salvador were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moises Fernandino made a kick off. The throw-in from Inocencio Mosca in the 55th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by El Salvador's Valentino Ferrant. In the 56th minute, Moises Fernandino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mateo Leguizamo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jorge Vicente Basay. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino got a free kick in the 61st minute. Mercurio Pasos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. Moises Fernandino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 83 minutes into the game, Jaime Rufo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Ricardo Zorita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 87 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Gana came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Mercurio Pasos notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the El Salvador players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Deportes Santa Cruz.
