Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Téo Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Téo Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Cuero Buseth had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cuero Buseth was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Téo Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Cuero Buseth kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 2-0 in the 26 minute of play. Téo Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game was made by Primitivo Andino with Felix Montenegro as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Cuero Buseth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Alvi Verde's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Téo Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Téo Leite despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience was convinced that Cuero Buseth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Cuero Buseth sent off a good shot on target. Alvi Verde were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wilbert Ugalde took the corner. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Cuero Buseth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Cuero Buseth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cuero Buseth to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, William Kristiansson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alvi Verde's supporters crossed their fingers, but William Kristiansson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Alvi Verde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peker Suersan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Téo Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Alvi Verde booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cuero Buseth came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Alvi Verde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cuero Buseth couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Téo Leite firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 68 played minutes Alvi Verde got a freekick which was hit by Giovanni Hermes. Alvi Verde's Piarres Cabredo was substituted for Almir Alagoano. Alvi Verde made a substitution. Rodolfo Perfecto replaced Cuero Buseth. Giovanni Hermes hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. A collision led to Alvi Verde getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Piarres Cabredo hit a great ball. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wilbert Ugalde was slow to take the kick. During this time Alvi Verde's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Piarres Cabredo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodolfo Perfecto in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Rodolfo Perfecto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Rodolfo Perfecto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilbert Ugalde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the game, Wilbert Ugalde cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
