Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Szilveszter Horváth started the match with the kick off. Gyál United were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Szilveszter Horváth took the corner. Róbert Vajda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sándor Jászberényi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by István Juhász in the 44th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Sándor Jászberényi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 76 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. After 78 minutes, Joshua Secada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Gyál United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 80 played minutes Tomas Illescas rounded Gyál United's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-1. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of István Juhász's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. After a rather tough play, Gyál United's Lajos Détári got a free kick in the 88th minute. Ferdinánd Nagy kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Szilveszter Horváth charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Szilveszter Horváth the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gyál United getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Szilveszter Horváth hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Venezuela walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
