The corner led to Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Valentin Elg getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 12 played minutes Étoile Sportive Du Sahel got a freekick which was hit by Jim Njurenius. After 13 played minutes Étoile Sportive Du Sahel got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Rivarola. Eric Soned showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 14th minute of the match. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eric Soned read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nickolai Nickerson in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Nickolai Nickerson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Radu Fetea got a free kick in the 25th minute. Eric Soned made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Fontirroig in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Étoile Sportive Du Sahel booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nickolai Nickerson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. Radu Fetea kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Eric Soned showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillermo Fontirroig, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nickolai Nickerson in the 41st minute of the match. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nickolai Nickerson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eric Soned made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Eric Soned made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Eric Soned got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Orlando Casaus hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Nickolai Nickerson came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute, Nickolai Nickerson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Eric Soned made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 73rd minute. After taking down the ball on Chile's corner Mariano Lacasa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eric Soned quite easily take care of the ball. Jose Manzanedo hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlo Ancelotti in the 79th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's goalkeeper Eric Soned had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. 87 minutes into the game, Radu Fetea threw the ball into play from the sideline. Chile's Jose Manzanedo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Jim Njurenius made in the 87th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Chile's Xavier Figueroa.
