Isidoro Sarmiento might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elano Manco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isidoro Sarmiento ran back to his position shaking his head. Elano Manco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isidoro Sarmiento's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. When Panama's Abraham Alguacil in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Elano Manco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 39th minute of the match. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidoro Sarmiento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Elano Manco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hilario Cresconio's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Sarmiento couldn't finish the play. The tension between the Peluchita Fc and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card.
