Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Armada in the 7th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Sbârcea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Orihuela Club de Fútbol's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Daniel Sbârcea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Sbârcea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Sbârcea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th minute of the game Nicasio Litago made a throw-in which Martin Belezhkov played forward. After 22 played minutes Orihuela Club de Fútbol got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Sampil. Godofredo Echavarri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. In the 37th match minute, Orihuela Club de Fútbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Sampil to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 38th minute of play forced Orihuela Club de Fútbol's goalkeeper Daniel Sbârcea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Sbârcea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 47 minutes into the match, David Armada dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rolando Noboa, 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nicasio Litago made in the 62nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Martin Belezhkov. After having played for 63 minutes, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Mina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Milagros Fraga's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Daniel Sbârcea firmly grabbed it by the left post. Daniel Sbârcea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Prats in the 73rd minute of play. Joaquin Prats might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Sbârcea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joaquin Prats ran back to his position shaking his head. Orihuela Club de Fútbol's Desiderio Perutxo was substituted for Johnny Van Havent. Orihuela Club de Fútbol made a substitution. Noel Travassos replaced Júlio Britto. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Revuelta, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godofredo Echavarri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Godofredo Echavarri came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Daniel Sbârcea in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Sbârcea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Mina in the 86th minute of the match. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. The corner led Peru's Eliseo Mina to fire away a dangerous shot which Daniel Sbârcea despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 90th minute, Efraim Gilabert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Desiderio Perutxo in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Peru booed when Orihuela Club de Fútbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicasio Litago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
