After taking down the ball on Orihuela Club de Fútbol's corner David Armada fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marco Day quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of USA booed when Orihuela Club de Fútbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicasio Litago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnny Van Havent in the 13th minute of the match. Orihuela Club de Fútbol's Daniel Sbârcea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of USA booed when Orihuela Club de Fútbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Sampil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Monty Rogers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Sbârcea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 54 minutes of play, USA's Monty Rogers made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Sbârcea was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 59th minute of play forced Orihuela Club de Fútbol's goalkeeper Daniel Sbârcea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Johnny Van Havent came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orihuela Club de Fútbol's Geovanni de Medeiros was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marco Day in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Daniel Sbârcea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Orihuela Club de Fútbol fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. USA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
