An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 7th minute of play forced Rönnöfors FF's goalkeeper Magne Gunnarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Rönnöfors FF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Tunström in the 10th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. In the 16th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magne Gunnarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Macos Graciani made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Rönnöfors FF's Magne Gunnarsson managed to reach the ball for a save. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magne Gunnarsson having to interfere. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Magne Gunnarsson. Magne Gunnarsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Magne Gunnarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per Tunström in the 33rd minute of play. If Henry Fagerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 45th minute of play forced Rönnöfors FF's goalkeeper Magne Gunnarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Henry Fagerberg made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Rönnöfors FF made a substitution. Torsten Åman replaced Arne Stor. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Henry Fagerberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Luca Rouco hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Per Stenberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Magne Gunnarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per Tunström, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After 72 minutes of play, Rönnöfors FF's Per Tunström made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 77th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Facundo Cadaval to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Rönnöfors FF getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Ivar Häll hit a great ball. Rönnöfors FF's Sigvard Biörnberg got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Mexico booed when Rönnöfors FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sten Hökqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Fagerberg in the 88th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Mancebo. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Rönnöfors FF getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Morgan Björkdahl hit a great ball. 98 minutes into the match, Henry Fagerberg notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rönnöfors FF's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
