But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Catarino Gueifão couldn't finish the play. The supporters of LeoMel F.C. booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Cortez in the 24th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Gueifão hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio Cortez, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Cássio Cortez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cássio Cortez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Hipólito Peralta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Afonso Viveiros hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Idalécio Luz in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rdth minute of the game Cássio Cortez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. LeoMel F.C.'s Rogério Boaventura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save LeoMel F.C. from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Cássio Cortez put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. LeoMel F.C.'s Hipólito Peralta got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Cássio Cortez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Cássio Cortez sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. LeoMel F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
