The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dylan Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Luděk Lupač tried to sneak it across the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Soběslav's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Tomáš Puč reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oto Jágr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Soběslav's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abraham Alguacil was slow to take the kick. During this time Panama's players had a chance to rest. After 26 minutes, Tomas Berganza made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Soběslav's Tomáš Puč tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oto Jágr in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Cotilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Soběslav's zone, Isidoro Sarmiento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomáš Puč came out of the goal and Isidoro Sarmiento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomáš Puč breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Berganza to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abraham Alguacil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 56th minute, Panama's Felipe Ros seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Felipe Ros the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Panama protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Felipe Ros had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Soběslav a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tomáš Gajdoš, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. 1-1. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gláuber Matos in the 61st minute of play. Alex Cambeiro's late challenge caught a Soběslav's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Cambeiro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Soběslav booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Cambeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. 81 minutes into the match, Oto Jágr notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 95th minute of play forced Soběslav's goalkeeper Tomáš Puč to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 98 minutes into the game, Bernard Gendolla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Soběslav's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
