In the 8th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Phelipe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after MIRA -ŁÓDZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Felix Montenegro managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Mateo Phelipe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that MIRA -ŁÓDZ's Mateo Phelipe managed to reach the ball for a save. Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mateo Phelipe in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Julian Demario charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julian Demario the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kamel Messina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind MIRA -ŁÓDZ's goalkeeper Mateo Phelipe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mateo Phelipe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After 47 played minutes MIRA -ŁÓDZ got a freekick which was hit by Julian Demario.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kamel Messina made a kick off. In the 54th minute of the match MIRA -ŁÓDZ got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Julian Demario ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on MIRA -ŁÓDZ's corner Boleslaw Zawadzki fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cezary Jajecznica in the 62nd minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Kamel Messina came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Boleslaw Zawadzki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute, MIRA -ŁÓDZ's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristian Sancho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Zbyszko Plech replaced Leonard Brack. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Julian Demario took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience was convinced that Kamel Messina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game.
