Uriel Gorri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. 10 minutes into the game, Armando Roland threw the ball into play from the sideline. Colombia's Kevin Mastache quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 11th minute of the match. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Camilo Salvidor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 18 minutes of play, Colombia's Axel Montenegro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Camilo Salvidor was left in no man's land by his defense there! Camilo Salvidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaston Firmo hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Uriel Gorri made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Menchu FC's Peter Söderqwist was substituted for Uriel Gorri. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Colombia's Luis Cazalla managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tomas Cordaryal in the 66 minute of the game.
