Han Hui started the match with the kick off. In the 8th minute, Truls Kirkemo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marino Malet got free with Florian Kicia in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Velasco Rollan took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florian Kicia. Florian Kicia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Gianluigi Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Perrando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florian Kicia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Velasco Rollan, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Gianluigi Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Perrando in the 23rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Sengrat Nazario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sociedad Anónima's supporters rose to their feet, but Sengrat Nazario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florian Kicia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 33 minutes into the match, C.A. Calamuchita's goalkeeper Florian Kicia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Velasco Rollan. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. Calamuchita's goalkeeper Florian Kicia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sociedad Anónima's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Niva Bruna in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marino Malet made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Velasco Rollan in the 52nd minute of play forced C.A. Calamuchita's goalkeeper Florian Kicia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Marino Malet came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Sociedad Anónima fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marino Malet couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Han Hui took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Gianluigi Buffon to make any attempt to save it. Velasco Rollan scored 2-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Florian Kicia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Truls Kirkemo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Velasco Rollan in the 77th minute of play forced C.A. Calamuchita's goalkeeper Florian Kicia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dawid Klocko's late challenge caught a C.A. Calamuchita's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dawid Klocko helped the player get up and apologised. Dawid Klocko kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Dawid Klocko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Florian Kicia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Velasco Rollan in the 81st minute of play. Ignacio Perrando might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gianluigi Buffon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ignacio Perrando ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 88th minute, Velasco Rollan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florian Kicia was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Gianluigi Buffon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Han Hui went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Sociedad Anónima's Velasco Rollan got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Sociedad Anónima players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
