In the 7th match minute, UNLIMITED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Paulo Junior to maneuver through the defense. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Alfonso Baldassarre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinho Almeida came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Narciso Rosalio sent off a good shot on target. In the 26th minute, UNLIMITED's Narciso Rosalio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinho Almeida in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. If 董林阳 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinho Almeida in the 33rd minute of play. In the 37th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Baldassarre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 41 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfonso Baldassarre was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Alfonso Baldassarre in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after UNLIMITED's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The supporters of UNLIMITED booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Almeida in the 54th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Claudinho Almeida kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Alfonso Baldassarre was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Agustín Saelices capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Agustín Saelices really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. After 63 minutes, Narciso Rosalio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UNLIMITED and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Narciso Rosalio kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Baldassarre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 69 minutes, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustín Saelices was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfonso Baldassarre made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alfonso Baldassarre came out and tried to block the shot, but Felix Montenegro slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 71st minute. Alfonso Baldassarre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 74th minute of play. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfonso Baldassarre. Alfonso Baldassarre dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind UNLIMITED's goalkeeper Alfonso Baldassarre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Almeida in the 77th minute of the match. A collision led to UNLIMITED getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Claudio Corelli hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 93 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador played a much better game than UNLIMITED and deserved their victory. The UNLIMITED players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
