Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Augusto Maranhense in the 29th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Augusto Maranhense in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. With his leg Joaquin Gayoso managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Ssc Napoli's Pedro Augusto Maranhense fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Augusto Maranhense in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Augusto Maranhense ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Jorge Sainz hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Jorge Sainz got a free kick in the 76th minute. The audience was convinced that Yu Cheng Jing's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Ssc Napoli's Blair Lamb quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Arturo Carvallo, made in the 81st minute of the game. The player immediately received a yellow card. 95 minutes into the game, one of Uruguay:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Many of Uruguay's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Uruguay may have spent more time on the ball, but Ssc Napoli were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
