Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tio Cabezon's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ciruel Academy throughout the match.
