Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Turkka Paatelainen slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Abel Carballo got a free kick in the 10th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Erotica Sensation's Turkka Paatelainen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 2-0 after 12 minutes of play. In the 19th minute, Erotica Sensation's Turkka Paatelainen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Felix Skark capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Felix Skark really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. 32 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Skark. After 34 minutes Costa Rica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Viktor Abrahamsson who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Erotica Sensation's Viktor Abrahamsson to fire away a dangerous shot which Benito Sanz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Turkka Paatelainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Puig struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Simon Kleen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. After some careless play in the Erotica Sensation defense, Axel Tasis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simon Kleen. The Erotica Sensation fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simon Kleen should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Turkka Paatelainen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Linus Jernberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. 57 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Skark came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Viktor Abrahamsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Skark came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simon Kleen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Puig in the 69th minute. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Simon Kleen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edwin Söderström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Turkka Paatelainen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Efrain Moruga's late challenge caught a Erotica Sensation's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Efrain Moruga helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Moruga to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Skark in the 84th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Erotica Sensation booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute, Turkka Paatelainen had to leave the field with a concussion. When Hugo Ferrant fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Hugo Ferrant a yellow card for diving instead. Erotica Sensation made a substitution. Dan Torstensson replaced Turkka Paatelainen.
