After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseph Joestar in the 20th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Joseph Joestar sent off a good shot on target. 44 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Petri came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rigoberto Mina charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rigoberto Mina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 46th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jonathan Petri. Kıvanç Bengi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joseph Joestar to make the kick off. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match.
