The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristiano Correia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Alberto Tafalla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ioan Voicu. That made the score 0-1 after 73 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Temperley's Cristiano Correia got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute, Marco Villerias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Rolando Lopez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ioan Voicu having to interfere. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Lopez in the 87th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Facundo Cadaval dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ioan Voicu, 0-2. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Club Atlético Temperley throughout the match.
