Leonard Chirculescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonard Chirculescu to make the kick off. Paralia Athens's Doru Apostu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 54th minute of play. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paralia Athens's Doru Apostu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Paralia Athens from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Honduras's Doru Apostu threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edmundo Espiga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of Paralia Athens:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Honduras:s goal. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Doru Apostu. Unai Herrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 75th minute of the game Valentín Carvallo made a throw-in which Christian Sancho played forward. A sloppy throw-in by Agostinho Moura in the 80th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 82nd minute of play forced Paralia Athens's goalkeeper Doru Apostu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 83 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Mircea Robu. Edmundo Espiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doru Apostu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After 90 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Vasile Enciulescu. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Agostinho Moura, made in the 95th minute of the game. Despite being the better team, Honduras failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
