Hans-Joachim Amerhauser made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Cambeiro in the 6th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Marcos Cotilla successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Abraham Alguacil fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Abraham Alguacil a yellow card for diving instead. Abraham Alguacil hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Kellbom in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Michael Almqvist. 22 minutes into the match, Forza Heppenbach's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Hans-Joachim Amerhauser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute Christian Kellbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Cotilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Michael Almqvist in the 66th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Bryan Kant came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Forza Heppenbach made a substitution. Stephan Appiah replaced Karl-Michael Almqvist. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Forza Heppenbach had won after a very even match.
