Victor Erauso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Cyprian Sroki sent off a good shot on target. After 23 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cipriano Tavio who took care of the corner kick. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Co Bayo in the 24th minute. Victor Erauso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Cyprian Sroki came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Alijilán returns's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Victor Erauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Victor Erauso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cyprian Sroki's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. The Alijilán returns fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Alijilán returns's Cyprian Sroki looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice moves Felix Montenegro could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Victor Erauso however easily saved by the left post. Alijilán returns's Victor Erauso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Alijilán returns from getting a goal against them. 75 minutes into the game, Cyprian Sroki cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyprian Sroki in the 79th minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyprian Sroki in the 81st minute of play. Adilson Rocha hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Alijilán returns's Victor Erauso got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line.
