Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which João Carlos Andrade however easily saved by the left post. In the 89th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Futuros FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Beto Smith had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Beto Smith was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Futuros FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
