Thiago Pliego came out and tried to block the shot, but Pablo-Enrique Alabern slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. Edelmiro Calvo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thiago Pliego having to make a save. Nereo Cacheres who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Thiago Pliego when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 21 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Dabi Vila came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Cacheres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dabi Vila came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Los once leones Ourense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dabi Vila couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute of the match, Dabi Vila tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thiago Pliego saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo-Enrique Alabern, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albano Unzueta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 35th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Chile's Francisco Carballar got a free kick in the 38th minute. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nereo Cacheres in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albano Unzueta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th match minute, Los once leones Ourense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúl Ramis to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dabi Vila stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Albano Unzueta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo-Enrique Alabern in the 55th minute of play. Nereo Cacheres struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Thiago Pliego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los once leones Ourense. Albano Unzueta was a little too slow when Mariano Lacasa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 2-1. After 68 played minutes Los once leones Ourense got a freekick which was hit by Raúl Ramis. Orlando Casaus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albano Unzueta having to make a save. 71 minutes into the match, Los once leones Ourense's goalkeeper Albano Unzueta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Albano Unzueta made a huge save. In the 79th minute Dabi Vila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Urdin Castan kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Albano Unzueta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Albano Unzueta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
