Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Defensores de Lombroso's Loco Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 3rd minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loco Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Loco Gatti having to make a save. Daniel Zorita scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Loco Gatti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Loco Gatti came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play forced Defensores de Lombroso's goalkeeper Loco Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Loco Gatti having to make a save. 30 minutes into the match, Defensores de Lombroso's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Loco Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Loco Gatti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Pelle Haglund recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Pelle Haglund showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. In the 39thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Defensores de Lombroso's Loco Gatti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Loco Gatti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natal Quintanilla in the 42nd minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pelle Haglund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Defensores de Lombroso getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Benjamin Herrera hit a great ball. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Loco Gatti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th match minute, Defensores de Lombroso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramon Bortzaioriz to maneuver through the defense. Loco Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 57 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Loco Gatti made a huge save. In the 62nd minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Loco Gatti. Loco Gatti yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pelle Haglund in the 65th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Loco Gatti. The goal made the score 1-4. Defensores de Lombroso's Rolando Martxel was substituted for Leonardo Bidun. Defensores de Lombroso's Fang Yue Ling was substituted for Ramon Bortzaioriz. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 73rd minute. The corner led to Ecuador's Felix Montenegro getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Loco Gatti. Loco Gatti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Defensores de Lombroso made a substitution. Edi Cavani replaced Ramon Edur. Pelle Haglund was shown his second yellow card after 79 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Pelle Haglund hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Loco Gatti came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 83rd minute. Ruben Naike took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-6. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benjamin Herrera in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
