The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pezerik. The referee gave Mexico a penalty, 24 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Joel Gaona, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pezerik's Shota Stopa. 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shota Stopa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Shota Stopa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dante Lacasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Geoffry Lefevre showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 37 minute of play. Pezerik's Shota Stopa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 40th minute of play. Luca Zorita struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Shota Stopa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Pezerik players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 1-3.

If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shota Stopa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Shota Stopa quite easily take care of the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavian Rutgeerts in the 60th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Geeraerts in the 62nd minute of play. Pezerik's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo scored to the left of an out of position Shota Stopa, making the score, 1-4. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Pezerik's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shota Stopa having to interfere. 80 minutes into the game, Pezerik's Paul Geeraerts nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Shota Stopa made a huge save. The Pezerik supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mexico's performance. The match ended with a win for Mexico.
