Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Francisco Seco took the kick off in the first half of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christian Kerville narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Christian Kerville came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Francisco Seco. But to his dismay, Francisco Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 10 minutes into the game, one of Uruguay:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Uruguay:s Joaquin Gayoso showed great skill when he stopped Neal Weatherby:s penalty. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th match minute, Elderslie Magpies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidio Etxekopar to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 15 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christian Kerville showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 18 minutes Elderslie Magpies's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Cazalla who took care of the corner kick. Uruguay's Bruno Beldad was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Christian Kerville in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 20th minute, Ralph Gorham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Neal Weatherby got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 27 minutes of play, Elderslie Magpies's Neal Weatherby made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Francisco Seco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christian Kerville read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Christian Kerville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 34th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rick Souness. After 38 minutes of play, Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Kerville was left in no man's land by his defense there! Uruguay were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Elderslie Magpies's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Cazalla took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Elderslie Magpies's goalie and right to Alberto Gisbert. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Elderslie Magpies's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Neal Weatherby to strike the kick off in the second half. Neal Weatherby recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francisco Seco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christian Kerville read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Elderslie Magpies's Steven Chaptal got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Steven Chaptal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute Steven Chaptal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Seco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Christian Kerville when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 64th minute of the match, Francisco Seco got a very nice opportunity to score, but Christian Kerville was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rick Souness in the 66th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Seco took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christian Kerville. Christian Kerville dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Elderslie Magpies made a substitution. Baldwin 舒 replaced Steven Chaptal. Elderslie Magpies's Pere Villanueva was substituted for Gilberto Fernandes. The throw-in from Ovidio Etxekopar in the 78th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. In the 80th minute of the match, Francisco Seco got a very nice opportunity to score, but Christian Kerville was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Francisco Seco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Christian Kerville when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 88th minute Ovidio Etxekopar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Kerville was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Francisco Seco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Francisco Seco really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Baldwin 舒 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Elderslie Magpies fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Uruguay were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
