The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, Cobresal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juliano Armstrong to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Revenge booed when Cobresal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loreno Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Zuurman in the 7th minute of play forced Cobresal's goalkeeper Constantin Ionaș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 played minutes Revenge got a freekick which was hit by Sigurd Abbas. Cobresal's Constantin Ionaș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berend Hermensen in the 12th minute of play. Aleksandr Vasyutin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Cesarini in the 14th minute of play. Renato Cesarini hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute of the match Berend Hermensen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Constantin Ionaș showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Berend Hermensen got free with Constantin Ionaș in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 31 minutes into the game, Revenge's Berend Hermensen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Constantin Ionaș made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 35 minutes into the match, Cobresal's goalkeeper Constantin Ionaș had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Berend Hermensen. In the 37th minute Renato Cesarini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleksandr Vasyutin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alifonso Apablaza in the 40th minute of play forced Revenge's goalkeeper Aleksandr Vasyutin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antoni Solecki to make the kick off. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Revenge fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cobresal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
