In the 12th minute Lε COCO SρσяtiV were awarded a corner. Freddy Hernando went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Freddy Hernando got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Emanuel Bazinet quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lemi Ateşoğlu lost his temper 16 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lε COCO SρσяtiV fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! Laureano Matia had in the 18thth minute some difficulties stopping Antoine Norton's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Emanuel Bazinet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Tiniebra, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Laureano Matia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antoine Norton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rey Pratt charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rey Pratt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute of the match Henrik Stor sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emanuel Bazinet skillfully saved the ball. Laureano Matia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antoine Norton in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Sport Lisboa e Benfica were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pierre Leclerc to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Lε COCO SρσяtiV booed when Sport Lisboa e Benfica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre Welch didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Lε COCO SρσяtiV getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Joar Hammarström hit a great ball. In the 54th minute, Geraldo Bezerra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuel Bazinet was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Antoine Norton's late challenge caught a Lε COCO SρσяtiV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antoine Norton helped the player get up and apologised. Antoine Norton kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Emanuel Bazinet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geraldo Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Emanuel Bazinet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Bezerra in the 61st minute of play. After 71 played minutes, Lε COCO SρσяtiV's Joar Hammarström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emanuel Bazinet came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lε COCO SρσяtiV reached it. 75 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goal looked a bit too open when Geraldo Bezerra came free, but Emanuel Bazinet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antoine Norton in the 77th minute of play forced Lε COCO SρσяtiV's goalkeeper Laureano Matia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 81 minutes on the clock, Emilio Hankins commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for Lε COCO SρσяtiV. Joar Hammarström stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Emanuel Bazinet. 2-1. Pierre Leclerc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laureano Matia having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sport Lisboa e Benfica's zone, Geraldo Bezerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Bazinet came out of the goal and Geraldo Bezerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 96 minutes into the game, Marquis Hopper was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lε COCO SρσяtiV the free kick.

There was no doubt that Lε COCO SρσяtiV were the better team. Lε COCO SρσяtiV's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
