Clube Atlético Mineiro's José Maria Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebbe Smits in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jouni Van Landschoot in the 24th minute of play forced Clube Atlético Mineiro's goalkeeper José Maria Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th match minute, Circus BAF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hannes Van Lancker to maneuver through the defense. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lamine Yambao made a kick off. After 52 minutes, Jannic Puttemas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Circus BAF and the Clube Atlético Mineiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Circus BAF's zone, Lamine Yambao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jurgis Van Landschoot came out of the goal and Lamine Yambao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Circus BAF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Clube Atlético Mineiro.
