In the 4th minute Kevin Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dochko Rodev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaj Skager got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Pedro Manzanares managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Club Atletico Los Andes's Kaj Skager fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 14 minutes into the match, Abram Sarmiento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dochko Rodev. Club Atletico Los Andes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abram Sarmiento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kim Lekberg in the 18th minute. Kaj Skager in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
