The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Xano Caminero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Castulo Zabalo hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Harvey Doyle hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Club Getafe Deportivo's Amancio Orozco was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 16th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Curacao's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Amancio Orozco 23 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. The supporters of Curacao booed when Club Getafe Deportivo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Castulo Zabalo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute Amancio Orozco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Orozco, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Peru Cartagena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Bruno Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charles Cox kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Amancio Orozco put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bruno Barrett. In the 39th minute, Troy Kennedy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the game, Amancio Orozco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Bruno Barrett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amancio Orozco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Club Getafe Deportivo's Amancio Orozco in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruno Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amancio Orozco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Orozco, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amancio Orozco in the 65th minute of the match. Amancio Orozco scored 6-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Barrett, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Xanti Urruti came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Club Getafe Deportivo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xanti Urruti couldn't finish the play. 72 minutes into the match, Curacao's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Orozco came free, but Bruno Barrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute Xanti Urruti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Adán Villar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 played minutes Club Getafe Deportivo got a freekick which was hit by Baldemer Abrego. Adán Villar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Bruno Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Amancio Orozco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno Barrett was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Rocco Owen hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Orozco in the 97th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
