Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Alexander Bottone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, A.S. Udinese's Alexander Damiani got a free kick in the 35th minute. Alvaro Rotili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Luz Tejedor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alvaro Rotili. A.S. Udinese's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luz Tejedor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 44th minute of the game Emmanuel Reyes made a throw-in which Milagros Fraga played forward. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ercole Fiorentino in the 91st minute of play. Emmanuel Reyes kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The Peru players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented A.S. Udinese from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
