The referee showed Tadeu Guerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tadeu Guerra hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, Barcellos Mineiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Gil Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gil Coelho came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Gil Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jailson Batista in the 26th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Jailson Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Percy Prestes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Gil Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 38th minute of play. After some careless play in the Barcellos Mineiro FC defense, Lautaro Mancebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gil Coelho. The Barcellos Mineiro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gil Coelho should have stopped the shot. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Gil Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 43rd minute of play. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gil Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The Barcellos Mineiro FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rick Cabezon to strike the kick off in the second half. Alberto Tafalla scored 0-5 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gil Coelho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 58th minute, Mexico's Joel Gaona ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gil Coelho. Gil Coelho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Alberto Tafalla's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Gil Coelho skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Alberto Tafalla sped through Barcellos Mineiro FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gil Coelho. Luiz Guilherme Garcia hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Gil Coelho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 72nd match minute, Barcellos Mineiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waka Barcellos to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gil Coelho could save by the left post. Gil Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 79th minute of the match. In the 80thth minute of the game Jailson Batista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gil Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Gil Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gil Coelho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 92nd minute. 96 minutes into the match, Barcellos Mineiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Gil Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 97 minutes into the game, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gil Coelho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Barcellos Mineiro FC.
