Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gu Zhan Wei having to interfere. Juan Rubio's late challenge caught a Academia Santista CIMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Rubio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 20 minutes, Felipe Nerio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia Santista CIMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe Nerio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Nerio in the 22nd minute of play. Felipe Nerio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Benito Sanz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Felipe Nerio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Nerio in the 33rd minute. 37 minutes into the game, Academia Santista CIMZ's Felipe Nerio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 52 played minutes Academia Santista CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Nerio. Gu Zhan Wei was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Axel Tasis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 54 minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Academia Santista CIMZ's Felipe Nerio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felipe Nerio went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gu Zhan Wei having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Academia Santista CIMZ had played much better football throughout.
