After 7 played minutes WKS Śląsk Wrocław got a freekick which was hit by Barry Kent. Volkan Ünalmış made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 8th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Edmundo Espiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Volkan Ünalmış was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Tanek Podwojskis short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Lautaro Navarro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Barry Kent who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Lautaro Navarro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bartlomiej Podwojski made in the 20th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Barnaba Lizewski however managed to control. After 22 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Valentín Carvallo. The supporters of Honduras booed when WKS Śląsk Wrocław was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dobromir Porajewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 28th minute of play forced WKS Śląsk Wrocław's goalkeeper Volkan Ünalmış to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. WKS Śląsk Wrocław's Volkan Ünalmış played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Honduras's Sebastian Villa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Volkan Ünalmış narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 44 minutes of play, Honduras's Edmundo Espiga made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Volkan Ünalmış was left in no man's land by his defense there! 48 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Barry Kent. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Barry Kent to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, WKS Śląsk Wrocław was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Napoleon Zajonc to maneuver through the defense.
