Maximiliano Bilintx took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Efrain Moruga during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 13 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. 23 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Almir Travassos. Efrain Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Almir Travassos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Almir Travassos sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th minute of the match ReAl Coholicos got a corner. Costa Rica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cemalettin Acunman ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Ferrant during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 41st match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baiona Encinas to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Almir Travassos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 57 minutes into the match, ReAl Coholicos's goalkeeper Allan Saraiva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Tasis. 58 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Bilintx had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximiliano Bilintx was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Baiona Encinas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After having played for 71 minutes, Baiona Encinas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ReAl Coholicos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baiona Encinas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute, Maximiliano Bilintx left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ReAl Coholicos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baiona Encinas in the 79th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Baldovino might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Baldovino ran back to his position shaking his head. 83 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Bilintx had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximiliano Bilintx was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. A collision led to ReAl Coholicos getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Baiona Encinas hit a great ball. ReAl Coholicos's Prospero Cibran was substituted for Maximiliano Bilintx. In the 95th minute Eliseo Noboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. ReAl Coholicos had played much better football throughout.
