Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Amado Vigário took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Garanhão do SUL's Amado Vigário in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Lautaro Mancebo sped through Garanhão do SUL's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ignatius Casasola. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Akis Kefallinos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 14th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignatius Casasola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Lautaro Mancebo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ignatius Casasola was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Luca Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ignatius Casasola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignatius Casasola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 26th minute of the match. In the 30th minute Edgar Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignatius Casasola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 34th minute of play. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 40th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignatius Casasola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. After having played for 45 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Ignatius Casasola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignatius Casasola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. Ignatius Casasola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 63rd minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 71stth minute of the game Torcato Rebocho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 73rd minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Garanhão do SUL defense, Joel Gaona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ignatius Casasola. The Garanhão do SUL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ignatius Casasola should have stopped the shot. After 81 played minutes Garanhão do SUL got a freekick which was hit by Amado Vigário. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Ignatius Casasola made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 88th minute of play forced Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Ignatius Casasola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute Edgar Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ignatius Casasola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Garanhão do SUL fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
