The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Camilo Sexto got the match started through his kick off. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ted Lasso in the 3rd minute. Don Malbec's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ramon Nafarroa in the 5th minute. Don Malbec's Basilio Sauveur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 6th minute of play. After 7 minutes, Camilo Covarrubias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the Don Malbec players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th minute, Camilo Covarrubias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Camilo Sexto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basilio Sauveur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th match minute, Don Malbec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elmas Veloz to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Don Malbec's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Sauveur came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Camilo Sexto's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. If Camilo Franco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Camilo Sexto notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ted Lasso during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ted Lasso kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Don Malbec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Aurken didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Camilo Sexto got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Joaquin Gayoso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Camilo Sexto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Joaquin Gayoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camilo Sexto in the 40th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basilio Sauveur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Camilo Sexto came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Camilo Franco got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 56thth minute of the game Camilo Sexto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Felix Nahia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Maximiliano Escribano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basilio Sauveur was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 74 minutes of play Don Malbec's Ted Lasso was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Don Malbec's Ted Lasso got a free kick in the 74th minute. Basilio Sauveur made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Don Malbec's Camilo Sexto got a free kick in the 86th minute. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camilo Sexto scored 3-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, Don Malbec could leave the field as winners, despite Uruguay having more of the ball for most of the match.
