Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emmanuel Stroh in the 4th minute of play. In the 9th minute Emmanuel Stroh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Niles Crane could shoot a difficult shot in the 11th minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. Niles Crane's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Kaj Helström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when İsmail Pekşen sent off a good shot on target. 21 minutes into the game, İsmail Pekşen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. İsmail Pekşen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matt Briggs in the 24th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niles Crane in the 25th minute of play. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kaj Helström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Stowe City's Emmanuel Stroh in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Emmanuel Stroh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kaj Helström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 54th minute of play. Kaj Helström was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Illescas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 57 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kaj Helström was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. Kaj Helström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 69th minute of the match. Guillermo Mariano's late challenge caught a Stowe City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillermo Mariano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, one of Venezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venezuela. Nils-Emil Tunström charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nils-Emil Tunström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th minute, Nils-Emil Tunström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kaj Helström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patricio Costa in the 92nd minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Villalobos in the 93rd minute of play. When Emmanuel Stroh came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Stowe City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emmanuel Stroh couldn't finish the play. Emmanuel Stroh succeeded in the game's 96th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Stowe City fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
