Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Claudio Aznar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Josu Pabon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Deportivo O IRIXO's supporters rose to their feet, but Josu Pabon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Juan Rubio fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Juan Rubio a yellow card for diving instead. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrei Gil in the 14th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Andrei Gil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudio Aznar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perico Caminero in the 29th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrés-Fernando Gonzalvez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 34th minute of play forced Club Deportivo O IRIXO's goalkeeper Claudio Aznar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 minutes of play Costa Rica's Juan Rubio was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 39 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. In the 40th minute, Andrés-Fernando Gonzalvez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 2-0. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrés-Fernando Gonzalvez in the 43rd minute. Antonio Recio hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrei Gil stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrei Gil in the 62nd minute of play. Andrei Gil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Andrei Gil notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Andrés-Fernando Gonzalvez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Deportivo O IRIXO's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrés-Fernando Gonzalvez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 76 minutes into the game, Club Deportivo O IRIXO's Andrés-Fernando Gonzalvez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. 82 minutes into the match, Andrei Gil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrei Gil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. After having played for 86 minutes, Perico Caminero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Deportivo O IRIXO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perico Caminero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 87 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Aznar having to interfere. Claudio Aznar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Club Deportivo O IRIXO were the better team. Club Deportivo O IRIXO's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
