When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Nahia in the 50th minute of play. Fulgencio Baristo charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fulgencio Baristo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Acratas Unidos getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Fulgencio Baristo hit a great ball. Acratas Unidos's Fernan Iban proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Acratas Unidos from getting a goal against them. In the 57th minute of the match El Salvador got a corner. Acratas Unidos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mateo Leguizamo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Eusebio Veronica sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Salvador's Moises Fernandino got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Acratas Unidos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paolo Nahia in the 75th minute. The corner ended in Teofilo Lorencio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita did a great save. 78 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Teofilo Lorencio came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Lorenzo Yepes hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Paolo Nahia put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ricardo Zorita. After having played for 89 minutes, Teofilo Lorencio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acratas Unidos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teofilo Lorencio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roque Servando's late challenge caught a El Salvador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roque Servando helped the player get up and apologised.
