Big Hands showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohieddine Ayari in the 8th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Big Hands showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mohieddine Ayari in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 18thth minute of the game Mohieddine Ayari who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Big Hands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohieddine Ayari in the 22nd minute of the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohieddine Ayari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's Mohieddine Ayari sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cirilo Arlo was slow to take the kick. During this time BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Cirilo Arlo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. In the 36th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Big Hands saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

50 minutes into the game, Juan Sebastián Puig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB the free kick. Big Hands made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the match, BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Big Hands had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Big Hands stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Big Hands saved BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB from getting behind. After having played for 57 minutes, Cirilo Arlo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cirilo Arlo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Big Hands made a huge save. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mohieddine Ayari went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Mohieddine Ayari scored 2-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Mohieddine Ayari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohieddine Ayari in the 70th minute of the match. Big Hands made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mohieddine Ayari's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mohieddine Ayari in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 87 minutes into the game, Mohieddine Ayari cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
