Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gwidon Patora started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustín Saelices was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Lama breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Carlos-Armando Valderrama had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Veth Crystals's Marcos Lama played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Veth Crystals's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from He Lin Di, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play forced Veth Crystals's goalkeeper Marcos Lama to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Lama having to make a save. A collision led to Veth Crystals getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Teofil Walczyk hit a great ball. In the 24th minute Gwidon Patora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gwidon Patora in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 32 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montes. Song Xing kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. A hard shot 45 in the game by Gwidon Patora from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Persson in the 59th minute of play. After 60 minutes of play, Veth Crystals's Gwidon Patora made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Persson in the 64th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwidon Patora in the 72nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Veth Crystals fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Veth Crystals's Carlos-Armando Valderrama looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Veth Crystals made a substitution. Nedas Jameikis replaced Alejandro Bullon. Veth Crystals's Sebastian Wierzchowski was substituted for He Lin Di. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. Gwidon Patora recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agustín Saelices could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Marcos Lama made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Agustín Saelices slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcos Lama. That made the score 2-1 after 90 minutes of play. In the 95th minute, Gwidon Patora left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Veth Crystals fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Veth Crystals had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
