The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. 95 minutes into the game, Lautaro Puig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Gdansk36 the free kick. The supporters of FC Gdansk36 booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball.
