In the 13thth minute of the game Mariano Lacasa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Swedish Nightmare's Edgar Åström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Swedish Nightmare's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. Chile's Xavier Figueroa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edgar Åström in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Swedish Nightmare's Hjalmar Backlund got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chile's Mariano Lacasa got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hjalmar Backlunds short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Thiago Pliego to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as The Swedish Nightmare's Hjalmar Backlund slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thiago Pliego. That made the score 1-0 after 26 minutes of play. Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hjalmar Backlund's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After 35 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgar Åström was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcin Zajac made in the 38th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Adrián Huerta. Edgar Åström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 40th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, The Swedish Nightmare's Isak Bruhn got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 45th minute, Ahmed Ouadah hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, The Swedish Nightmare's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Edgar Åström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. Orlando Casaus took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Åström. Edgar Åström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Swedish Nightmare made a substitution. Jorginho Meirelles replaced Hjalmar Backlund. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Edgar Åström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jorginho Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79thth minute of the game Jorginho Meirelles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chile's Thiago Pliego was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edgar Åström made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. 85 minutes into the game, The Swedish Nightmare's Ture Ahlstedt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thiago Pliego made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The Swedish Nightmare's Ahmed Ouadah managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Felix Garrido in the 89 minute of the game. Edgar Åström made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Orlando Casaus sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd minute, The Swedish Nightmare's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mariano Lacasa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Edgar Åström in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chile's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
