Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Junior Shevchenko started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, Junior Shevchenko dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benito Sanz, 1-0. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebius Smolarek in the 11th minute of the match. Ed 冯义升 took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After 17 minutes of play, Manchester United FC's Eusebius Smolarek made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eusebius Smolarek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Junior Shevchenko went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. After having played for 30 minutes, Junior Shevchenko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester United FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Junior Shevchenko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Junior Shevchenko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. After 33 minutes, Junior Shevchenko made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebius Smolarek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Manchester United FC's goalkeeper Dietbald Ströbele, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 47 minutes of play, Manchester United FC's Junior Shevchenko made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebius Smolarek in the 54th minute of play. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebius Smolarek, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 56th minute, Eusebius Smolarek left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manchester United FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Junior Shevchenko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebius Smolarek in the 63rd minute of play. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Manchester United FC's Junior Shevchenko. But to his dismay, Junior Shevchenko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. The audience was convinced that Junior Shevchenko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. 74 minutes into the match, Eusebius Smolarek notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ed 冯义升 in the 77th minute of the match. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebius Smolarek in the 78th minute of play. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebius Smolarek in the 78th minute of play. Junior Shevchenko scored 11-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Eusebius Smolarek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 minutes of play, Manchester United FC's Eusebius Smolarek made it 12-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Junior Shevchenko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Junior Shevchenko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd minute, Junior Shevchenko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 14-0. Manchester United FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
