In the 5th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gus Weir in the 7th minute. After 7 minutes of play, Real Chelsea's Gus Weir made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! 10 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gus Weir. The audience was convinced that Gus Weir's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Timothy Thorne got free with Julio Vera in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute, Tony Domingues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stu Bullock hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Comunardo Prandini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Luis Andino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Comunardo Prandini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agustín Saelices during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Real Chelsea made a substitution. Tyler Tolley replaced Alfie Downing. In the 33rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Stu Bullock in the 34th minute really tested Julio Vera's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Gus Weir struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Chelsea. Comunardo Prandini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustín Saelices was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Comunardo Prandini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comunardo Prandini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tyler Tolley, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Gus Weir charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gus Weir the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th match minute, Real Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gus Weir to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gus Weir made a kick off. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gus Weir in the 52nd minute of play. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Comunardo Prandini could save by the left post. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 64 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Comunardo Prandini narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Comunardo Prandini. Real Chelsea's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 67 minutes into the match, Luis Andino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Comunardo Prandini, 1-3. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Real Chelsea made a substitution. Uno Klemensson replaced Malcolm Adcock. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Comunardo Prandini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 82nd minute of the match Tony Domingues completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tony Domingues a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Timothy Thorne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tyler Tolley in the 93rd minute of play. Ecuador played a much better game than Real Chelsea and deserved their victory. The Real Chelsea players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
