Deportivo Balvanera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. A collision led to Deportivo Balvanera getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Severiano Taurino hit a great ball. Isaac Dayam hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Abel Neron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Diego Milito had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Milito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Abel Neron stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Deportivo Balvanera's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Abel Neron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Milito received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Diego Milito slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 34th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Deportivo Balvanera's Diego Milito in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. After 70 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. Abel Neron made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Milito in the 79th minute of the match. 5-3 became the score in the 83rd minute when Diego Milito elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. Diego Milito scored 6-3 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Deportivo Balvanera's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
